Mangen & Associates' concerns were related to poor design, poor user experience, and seeking solutions to help improve their product.
My task was to identify problems in the application flow, user interface, and user experience that impede successful application use, and to provide solutions and interventions to issues found.
BroadwayHD is a live theater to digital platforms company, founded in 2013 by Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley. Based out of New York City, the company records live theater performances to be made available through other platforms such as movie theaters, television, and DVDs.
I was fortunate enough to interview existing users of My Skill Portfolio to gain more insight into what they wanted, where their pain points lay, and the outcomes they expected from MSP.
Three main personas emerged: The Learner, The Job Seeker, and The Employer.
After solidifying the new brand standards, we applied their new identity to their existing website. The result is an eye-catching, immersive experience that pulls in Broadway fans of all levels.
Utilizing the research I have gathered and the three major personas, I mapped out customer journey maps to help visualize what a user sees, feels, and touches as they use MSP.
There were pain points from signing up to creating an account, but the bulk of the user's problems rested in tracking their success. This was a big problem because MSP's mission was to help users advance and progress in their professional lives.
